Tips for Visiting a Dog-Friendly Patio
There's nothing better than enjoying great food, fresh air and time on the patio with your pup. Whether you're meeting friends for brunch, grabbing dinner after a hike or simply soaking up the sunshine, patio dining is a great way to spend time together.
A little planning goes a long way toward making your visit enjoyable for everyone. Here are a few simple tips to help you and your pup make the most of your next patio outing.
Plan Ahead
Planning ahead helps make your visit even more relaxing. If your favorite patio is popular, consider making a reservation so you can spend less time waiting and more time enjoying your meal together.

Pack the Essentials
A few basics can help make your outing even more enjoyable:
- A sturdy leash
- Waste bags
- A collapsible water bowl
- Fresh water (though if you forget, don't worry, we've got water bowls ready for your pup!)
- A few favorite treats
- A little preparation goes a long way toward a smooth patio visit.
Set Your Pup Up for Success
Keeping your dog comfortably beside your table helps them relax while allowing teammates and other guests to move comfortably around the patio.
If your pup likes to settle in, bringing along a favorite blanket or mat can help them feel right at home.

Visiting Lazy Dog with Your Pup
When it's time to eat, treat your pup to a meal made just for them. Our Dog Meals feature your choice of grilled hamburger or grilled chicken served with brown rice and vegetables, so everyone at the table can enjoy something special.
Whether it's your first visit or you're one of our regular patio guests, we're always happy to welcome your four-legged family members.

Celebrate National Dog Day with Us
National Dog Day is August 26, so celebrate with your pup. The first 50 dogs at each Lazy Dog location will receive a complimentary Lazy Dog bandana, while supplies last.
From August 24–27, we're donating $1 to Pet Partners for every Dog Meal purchased in-restaurant. We're proud to support Pet Partners, whose therapy animal teams bring comfort and connection to people across the country.
Dogs have always been part of the Lazy Dog family, and we can't wait to celebrate National Dog Day with you. Bring your pup, enjoy the patio and make some new memories together.
